Simply add together each gold piece and the stuff you got from your background with what you picked out from your class. No surprise here that living it up as an aristocrat gets you the most starting gold with the noble 25gp.
Ki. Starting at 2nd level, your training allows you to harness the mystic energy of ki. Your access to this energy is represented by a number of ki points. Your monk level determines the number of points you have, as shown in the Ki Points column of the Monk table.
At the start of level 5 they should have roughly 700 gold each, and at the end 3000 gold each - so they gain a total of about 2300 gold. The amount of gold you gain isn't the same each level, as you level up the amount of wealth you accumulate will increase.

They're perfect situationally, and you've got the abilities to make sure those situations come up. But if you blow through abilities in every fight, you'll run out of ki. That can leave you in a bad spot. This monk can be fun, but you'll be constantly struggling against your small ki pool.
Monks have high enough Dexterity that with the right skills they can function as Scouts, and with high Wisdom they're also good at Insight and Perception. With no Intelligence or Charisma, stay far away from Face skills and Knowledge skills, and Languages are basically worthless so look for tools like Thieves' Tools.

I normally put kings as having access to 10s of thousands of gold fairly easily. However, most of their wealth is tied to the land. While they are worth millions of gold, they would have to sell land or increase taxes on the merchants and peasants to get it.
The closest match are rangers (94%/-8 gold) and rogues (95%/-5 gold). Other close matches are the artificer (77%/-38 gold), cleric (83%/-25 gold), warlock (78%/-29 gold), and wizard (85%/-17 gold), who all range between 75% and 86%. While not very close to the maximum equipment value these are all in fair range.
