Is there a problem with YBS login? ›

At present, we have no known issues affecting our online services so please try again and if the problem still exists follow the instructions on the error page so that we can investigate.

If you manage your account online, you can log in to view and print your transaction details. If you don't have online access, please contact us to order a statement.

Your eligible deposits held by a UK establishment of Yorkshire Building Society are protected up to a total of £85,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the UK's deposit guarantee scheme.

The payment usually arrives in the recipient's account the same day, provided the request is made before 12pm (midday) Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). Payments made after this will be received the next working day.

Access to your online account will be locked out after a number failed access attempts. You will need to call us to reset your account. After multiple failed biometric access attempts on a mobile application you will be required to re-register your device.

Yorkshire Building Society's 1% deposit mortgage

The Yorkshire Building Society 1% deposit mortgage – also being marketed as the “£5,000 deposit mortgage” – is a 5 year fixed-rate mortgage available at a rate of 5.99%. It does have some eligibility criteria: At least one applicant must be a first time buyers.

Fitch Affirms Yorkshire Building Society at 'A-'; Outlook Stable. Fitch Ratings - London - 17 Oct 2023: Fitch Ratings has affirmed Yorkshire Building Society's (YBS) Long-Term Issuer Default Ratings (IDR) at 'A-' with a Stable Outlook, Viability Rating (VR) at 'a-'and Short-Term IDR at 'F1'.

What are the timescales? For cash withdrawals in a branch you can withdraw up to £1,000 on any one day or £5,000 by giving a few days notice. You can only withdraw a maximum of £5,000 in any seven day period.

You can request a withdrawal by Faster Payments or CHAPS (subject to a fee) in branch, over the phone or by writing to us (if your account allows it). The nominated account must be a UK bank or building society account in your own name.

If your bank or credit union does not yet offer Zelle^®, your weekly send limit is $500 and your weekly receive limit is $5,000 in the Zelle^® app.
