Top 10 Most Safe Countries For Traveling In 2023 (New Survey) - CEOWORLD magazine (2024)

People are fond of traveling again after the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we must be careful during travel not only for health reasons but also for our general safety. Some countries are considered safer than others from one edge of the earth to the other. It seems this is the most appropriate time for someone to arrange a holiday trip in 2023, just before Christmas. This time of the year, we feel happier and more relaxed, ready to arrange our next steps and set our goals for 2023.
The Netherlands, Denmark, and Iceland are the top 3 safer countries for traveling in 2023. We talk about a new list recently published concerning the safest countries for traveling in 2023. Most countries on the list are in Europe. Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection conducted the list (BHTP).
Data on extreme weather conditions, terrorism, and health and safety measures were used to rank the countries. Most of the safest countries to travel to next year are in Europe, with only four countries outside of Europe: Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Arab Emirates. At the same time, the list of the fifteen safest cities was published, offering a wider geographical spread, with cities such as Singapore, Seoul, and Tokyo ranking.
So, the safest countries in the world, in order of ranking, are the Netherlands, Denmark, Iceland, Australia, Norway, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, New Zealand, Spain, Ireland, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Belgium.
When you hear the words Amsterdam, tulips, cyclists, and beer, be sure that we are talking about the Netherlands. Amsterdam is a city where culture is everywhere. From Anne Frank’s annex museum to Keukenhof, the world’s largest flower garden. If you are good at cycling, take a bicycle and go around the city. It is not difficult since the city is flat. So, just go around the city where Vincent Van Gogh was born.
As for the safest cities in the world to visit, they are Reykjavik, Copenhagen, Montreal, Amsterdam, Seoul, Singapore, Tokyo, Berlin, London, Sydney, Barcelona, Honolulu, Rome, Dubai, and Paris.
Reykjavik in Iceland is a popular tourist destination. There you will find many cultural institutions, a prosperous art scene, and the atmosphere of a literary city since it counts many award-winning authors. Going out at night may cost you a bit since alcohol is sold at a high price in bars.
Concerning last year’s list, there are some important changes. Thus, Australia rose to fourth place from sixth in the previous ranking. New Zealand dropped from second to 10th, Canada dropped from third to sixth, and Ireland went from eighth to 12th place. Some countries had an even bigger drop in rankings. Japan dropped from fifth to 19th place, Costa Rica dropped from 15th to 31st, and Brazil dropped from 25th to 42nd.
