These Morning Star Farms Garden Veggie burgers are pretty healthy! They're low in calories and fat and high in protein and dietary fiber. These garden veggie burgers do have actual pieces of veggies in them which is great! I will point out that they are vegetarian and not vegan.

These are good-for-you ingredients that provide fiber and a variety of vitamins and minerals. Packaged veggie burgers (like Morning Star Farms or Boca) can also be a part of a healthy eating plan. They're a quick and convenient way to enjoy a meatless meal and typically run from 70 to 130 calories per patty.

But they're so processed! Yes, no question. While there's lots of evidence to support plant-based diets, most studies involve whole, minimally processed foods. On the other hand, research links so-called “ultra-processed foods,” such as veggie burgers, to increased cardiovascular disease and mortality.

Kellogg Sales Co. beat a proposed class suit alleging it deceptively markets “veggie” products, as a federal court in California said the word describes meat substitutes rather than implying the fare contains mostly vegetables.

The burgers are not vegan, as they contain eggs and dairy, but are suitable for vegetarians who eat dairy and eggs, being made mostly of plant matter (vegetables), along with salt.
