And I was able to accomplish this despite the fact that I just started blogging back then, and I was just learning the ins and outs of blogging.

How I Started Affiliate Marketing
I am a new blogger who also works a demanding full-time job so I can only blog during the evenings and weekends.
Like any beginner blogger, I struggle with getting traffic to my site. I know I need to create more content, but with my demanding work, it is hard to add more blogging time.
The real struggle was, although I know that it would take a while to make money, I still have to pay bills to keep the blog going. I had been working on keeping my costs down, but as you know, everything is not always free.
It may seem selfish, but I cannot keep on tapping on our personal budget just to keep the blog running. I had to do something.
And so, I began my research online and found out about affiliate marketing.
If you don’t know anything about affiliate marketing, here’s a quick intro.
Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting and recommending affiliate products and making money from it when someone makes a purchase.
Affiliate marketing is very lucrative, there is no cap to how much you can earn, and the best part is, it’s FREE to join affiliate programs.
As I got deeper into my research, I found Michelle from Making Sense of Cents, who continuously makes over $50,000 a month in affiliate marketing.

How I Made $100 As An Affiliate Marketer In My Early Days Of Blogging.
After I bought the course, I didn’t waste time. I started digging in.

As I continued learning from the course and implementing the strategies, I kept on earning affiliate income every single month.
Finally, in my eighth-month of blogging, I made my first $100 in affiliate income in just 30 days.

Steps I Took To Make Money As An Affiliate Marketer
In the course, Michelle shared a list of affiliate companies that you can start applying to as a beginner blogger.
The good thing about the list was that it includes all niches, so whatever you blog about, you’ll most likely find an affiliate company for you.
So first, I signed up with two of the most highly reviewed affiliate networks, Shareasale and Flexoffers. Checkout my Shareasale review, where I go into detail on how I made my first $100 in my early days of blogging.
The reason I choose to go with affiliate networks first is that I just had to apply for the program once while receiving access to many different affiliate products.
Also, it is easier to track my payouts from an affiliate network if I will be using many of their affiliate products.
Next, I went ahead and made a list of the affiliate products that I am already using or used in the past and started applying.

- Tello
- Trim
- Paribus
Once approved, I went straight to work. I created new content, included these products in all of my blog posts and pages, and promoted them in my social media accounts.
How To Promote Affiliate Products
TUTORIAL
I found that people, including me, love to google how to use a particular product rather than asking a friend.
With that in mind, I wrote a blog post that showed precisely how to use Freshbooks and included my affiliate link.
Tailwind is also something that I use most of the time, so I wrote how to find the best Instagram hashtags using Tailwind.
REVIEW
Besides googling how to use products, people also search for product reviews. They love reading other people’s experience with a product before making a purchase.
Therefore, I decided to write a review post on the products that I am already using.
I use Grammarly all the time, so I thought I should write a review about it.
I also made extra cash from Ibotta, Survey Junkie, Swagbucks, and myPoints, so I made a post about them.
RESOURCES PAGE
If I had all the time in the world, I would write a review or tutorial on every affiliate product, but I do not.
Creating a resources page helped me get some eyes to my affiliate products without creating a separate blog post for each of them.
A resources page is a page on your blog where you can put all the products that you recommend and use in your life or business.
What You Can Do To Make Your First $100 In Affiliate Income Faster Than I Did.
I did not make money as an affiliate marketer in my first or second month. It was not until I was in my third month of blogging that I made my first affiliate income.
But today, I am going to show you how you can make your first $100 sooner than I did.
First, apply for Shareasale. They accept new bloggers.
Next, once you’re approved by Shareasale, apply as an affiliate for Grammarly, Etsy, Freshbooks, wpforms, and Tailwind.
These affiliate products are useful, regardless of your niche.
Once approved, each affiliate product will give you the opportunity to create a bonus post orpublish specific information on your blogs, like about a sale, a discount, or a new product.
They typically pay between $5-25, so if you can create a few posts around these products, you’ll make your first $100.
