Fix issues with Play Store
If you have issues locating the Play Store app, or opening, loading or downloading content in the app, it could be due to a number of reasons. To troubleshoot these issues, try the following topics:
If you can't find the app in your list of all apps: Confirm you're using a supported Android or Chromebook device. You may have hidden the app and need to re-enable the app. Turn off your device and turn it on again.
Tap on "Clear Cache" first. This will clear the temporary cache files for the Play Store without affecting any app data. If clearing the cache doesn't resolve any issues you were facing, you can optionally tap "Clear Data/Storage" as well. This will reset the Play Store app to its default state.
The Play Store app is usually located on your home screen but can also be found through your apps. On some devices the Play Store will be in a folder labelled Google.
If you can't find the App Store, search for it. On your Home Screen, swipe down so the search field appears - search for App Store. When you find it, long press on it and drag it back to your Home Screen.
If you are seeing the “Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped” error message on your Android phone or tablet, it could be caused by any number of things. Some potential issues are a lack of internet connection, not enough storage space, or corrupt data.
