The Apple Card credit limit is usually around $2,500 to start, according to forum posts, and some cardholders report limits as high as $20,000. Marcus by Goldman Sachs does not include any specific Apple Card credit limit information in the card’s terms, though.

For the most part, Apple Card credit limits depend on each applicant’s overall creditworthiness. Those with the highest income and best credit scores will generally be offered the highest starting credit limits.

That said, the Apple Card credit limit that you start with isn’t necessarily your credit line forever. You can ask to get a credit limit increase by calling the Marcus by Goldman Sachs customer service number on the back of your card, but it’s best not to ask more than once a year.

I’m currently at $15,750.00. Had the card for a couple of years. I may have started out around 3-5k, can't really remember. Every few months I've requested a credit limit increase. Not because I necessarily need it, but because it's good to have a high credit limit to keep the borrowing ratio low for the card and for overall available credit. Makes having a higher credit score more easy.

On and off I've spent a few thousand a month. Paid the whole balance in full that month. Some months I used it more light than that. Have other cards. I think they key is making sure you show you are active using it. So, at least 20 small transactions a month equaling a couple hundred or so should do the trick. No hard inquiry for requesting and/or being approved for a higher limit. Takes a few seconds to send a text to the computer for apple that will decide quickly 90% of the time, or send an email within a few days of an explanation of why you didn't get it that time.

Does the Apple Credit Card do a hard inquiry?

Applying for the Apple Credit Card does lead to a hard inquiry into an applicant’s credit report, but only at a certain point in the application process. First, Goldman Sachs, the card’s issuer, does a harmless soft pull of the applicant’s credit. Some people may be denied right away based on this soft pull. People who seem to qualify for the card based on the soft pull will then get to see an offer for...
