2022 Omega Watch Prices: The Most Expensive Omega Speedmasters And Seamasters - Watches Tonight with Tim Mosso - Watchbox Studios (2024)

The most expensive Omega watches include well known Omega Speedmaster and Omega Seamaster models, but almost nothing about these watches meets your expectation for the Omega watch brand. Unlike Rolex, whose most expensive watches typically amount to jeweled versions of precious metal models, Omega's most expensive watches often feature no gems or gold. From the Omega Seamaster 300 with lapis lazuli dial to the Speedmaster 321 Platinum, the most expensive Omega watches span every size, style, and function.

In 2019, Omega launched the Speedmaster Calibre 321 Platinum. Based on the historic Omega Speedmaster 105.012 that became the first "Speedmaster Professional," this 42mm platinun Moonwatch is a tribute to both the history and the romance of Omega's role in NASA space flight.

Omega caliber 321 here is resurrected in its original Lemania 2310-based form. Restored to its original column wheel specification, the manual wind chronograph movement is similar to that worn by NASA astronauts like Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong. The modern version still beats at 18,000 vibrations per hour, but a display caseback and significantly improved movement finish make for a more handsome sight than the NASA-issued 105.012.

On the dial side of the Speedmaster Calibre 321 Platinum, Omega employs a black onyx dial with sub dials made of Moon meteorite. All hands and indices are crafted from white gold. The crystal is sapphire, and the bezel insert is made of ceramic. Omega watch collectors will pay $59,400 to shoot for the Moon with this high-luxury Omega Speedmaster chronograph.

Launched in early 2019, the Omega Seamaster 300 in yellow gold or platinum offers a choice of green malachite or blue lapiz lazuli dials. Both vintage-inspired dive watches recall the Omega Seamaster 300 models of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Their straight lugs, no-date dials, and clean bezels are a retro delight, but it's the use of exotic dials that sets this pair apart.

The lapis lazuli dial is rich, blue, and scattered with metallic elements that emulate the glow of the night sky. Cut, polished, and set by Omega watchmakers, the lapis dial is the more expensive of the two options. A green malachite dial with broad bands of varied mineral tones costs less than the lapis, but it is no less sensational. Either dial can be had with the buyer's choice of yellow gold or platinum, and both metals can be paired with a matching full sports bracelet.

The yellow gold Seamaster 300 with malachite dial starts at $28,900, and the most expensive platinum lapis dial Seamaster 300 with a platinum bracelet has a retail price of $69,100.
