Whether you are looking to supplement your family’s income, save for Christmas or earn a full time income working for home, here are 10 ways you can start making cash working from home!

1.) Become a Virtual Assistant: Bloggers and Online Business Owners are always looking for people to help out with all kind of things from social media tasks, image creation, proof reading and every thing in between. A great way to find work is in Facebook Groups. Search VA or Virtual Assistant Jobs or For Hire and see what you can find. You could even reach out to your favorite blogs and see if they are in need of assistance. Make sure to highlight what you have to offer.
2.) Join Fiverr: You can offer basics tasks like proofreading, image creation, social media work and more for $5. Make more money by upselling and adding additional services to your gigs. I have used Fiver several times when I needed help in a pinch. Work from Fiver is highly based on reviews so make sure your customers are satisfied, follow up and ask them to leave an honest review!
3.) Test Websites and Apps: Join User Testing and get paid $10 via PayPal for every 20-Minute Video you complete.
4.) Make money reselling: Facebook resell groups are all the rage these days. Take advantage of their popularity by reselling items for more than you paid. Make sure to research and watch for several weeks to see what items are most popular and how much they are selling for then stalk yard sales, thrift shops and clearance sales to grab those items dirt cheap and sell them for a profit.
5.) Become a product tester and join survey sites. These will not get you rich quick but if you are willing to put some time in to it you can earn a small income from them each month. My favorite are
- Toluna-get paid to test full size products
- VIP Voice –Join VIP Voice and complete surveys for VIP Points.VIP Points can be used for sweepstakes entries and auctions. Prizes include vacations, electronics, appliances, and more
- PineCone Research – pays $3 per qualifies survey. This one is by far my favorite and easiest survey site.
- InBox Dollars– watch their ads, take surveys and open emails to earn points that you can exchange for cash
- It is VERY important that you confirm your account via the email they send for each of these companies in order to start receiving offers.
6.) Become a Mystery Shopper: Make money by evaluating services, food and appearance of local establishments. You can make anywhere from $8 – $30 per shop you are approved for depending on their difficulty. Tasks range anywhere from making a phone call to having a full meal. They are very specific about what time you perform the shop, what you do while you are there and require a very detailed report afterwards. Two companies I have had success with are BenchMark and Shopper’s Hub.
7.) Get paid to write: Do you have a unique voice or get tons of “likes” on your Facebook posts about regular life? Some sites will pay you for original articles you submit for them to publish. Sites like Babble, Scary Mommy and ListVerse will pay up to $100 per article. Don’t be afraid to reach out to smaller blogs with a guest post pitch if you feel you have a good piece that will appeal to their readers.
8.) Become an online Tutor: Instructors can make up to $13 an hour by offering their services on sites like Tutor.com or advertise for yourself and do sessions via Skype or in person.
9.) Sell your homemade items on Facebook, Etsy and Instagram: Do you make something unique or have a secret talent? Put that hobby to work for you and make some extra dollars. Selling items from your home has never been easier with the explosion of social media. Invest in professional pictures of your items, advertising techniques and payment acceptance and research popular hashtags to find the target audience for your niche.
10.) Sell your recipes. Want to know a secret? A lot of those amazing and delicious looking recipes you find on Pinterest are actually purchased by the blogger to put on their website. I’ve seen recipes sell for $10 -$200 each depending on the quality and work involved. You can even offer several different photos of the same recipe and sell it as semi-exclusive to more than one blogger. Professional high quality in-process and final photos are mandatory if you want anyone to actually purchase your recipes.
